The Art of Tying a Bow Tie

bow tie

Prince Albert

The Prince Albert knot is a refined and slightly fuller variation of the classic Four-in-Hand. Wrapping the tie an extra time before threading it through the knot, creates a distinctive, slightly asymmetrical shape where the double layers subtly peek through.

This knot is best suited for thinner silk ties or unlined variations, as it builds slightly more volume than a traditional Four-in-Hand. It’s the perfect choice for those who want a stylish and slightly more prominent knot without being overly formal.

How to: tie
STEP1: Place the tie around your neck with the wide end on the left. The narrow end should finish just above the navel.
